UNELMAKUVIA KALIFORNIASTA - DREAMY IMAGES BY WILDER CALIFORNIA

Marraskuu oli ennätysharmaa ja joulukuussakin aurinko on vain vilahdellut pilvien takaa. Pimeyttä yritän kotona karkoittaa jouluvaloilla ja kynttilöillä ja lämpöä haen sohvan nurkkaan käpertymällä. Teekupin, villasukkien ja viltin lisäksi minua ovat viime aikoina lämmittäneet Wilder Californian ihanan unenomaiset valokuvat. Bongasin nämä ensimmäisen kerran Dursk-blogista lokakuussa ja olin heti koukussa!

Dursk-blogin takana oleva Emily Nicholson kirjoitti Wilder Californiaa käsittelevässä postauksessaan, kuinka halusi kuvat nähtyään ottaa yhteyttä kuvaajaan, Jane Wilderiin, ja ylistää hänen töitään. Samanlainen olo tuli itselleni, kun tutustuin kuviin ensimmäisen kerran. Pidän erityisesti kuvien pysähtyneestä tunnelmasta ja utuisesta, pastellisävyisestä värimaailmasta, jotka saavat unohtamaan seinien ulkopuolella levittäytyvän kaamoksen. Wilder Californian takana on kalifornialainen valokuvaaja Jane Wilder, joka ammentaa inspiraatiota taide- ja sisustusblogeista. Wilder kuvaa mielellään omaa asuinympäristöään ja sen monipuolista kasvillisuutta. Kaktus- ja kasviaiheet ovat omia suosikkejani.

Ja ehdottomasti haluan itselleni kotiin yhden tai mielellään muutamia näistä. Here in Finland November was record-breaking grey and now in December we have seen the sun only for short glimpses every now and then. A big cup of tea, wool socks and thick blanket have kept me warm for the last couple of weeks along with these stunning, dreamy-like images by Wilder California. I was instantly sold  when I first saw these in the Dursk-blog.

Emily Nicholson writer of the Dursk-blog wrote that after seeing the work of Jane Wilder, photographer behind Wilder California, she wanted to contact her so she could "shout and rave about her absolutely stunning work". I have to say that I felt just the same. I love the kind of hazy atmosphere in these images and also the feel that for one moment the time stands still and everything is just... well perfect! These images make me forget the the dominating darkness outside.

A California based Jane Wilder is the photographer behind these wonderful images. She gets her inspiration from art & interiors blogs and "--has a fondness of shooting diverse Californian plantlife and her natural surroundings --". My favorites at the moment are the botanical themed images.

I wish to get at least one, preferably more than one, of these images to our home. All images seen in this blog and many more are available, also as large scale prints, in Wilder´s Etsy shop, Wilder California. The dispatching costs to Finland were relatively high, so I would be more than happy to share these costs with someone :)
